Help us welcome Evan Olson, who has joined us as a Mechanical Engineer!

Evan will be replacing Mark LaPlante, who will be retiring in March, as Mechanical Engineer on the 89 North engineering team. Evan will be responsible for the mechanical aspects of product design, validation, manufacturing support, and sustaining engineering. His responsibilities will also include addressing the objectives of cost, producibility, quality, performance, reliability, serviceability, as well as ergonomic and cosmetic aspects of product design.  Evan will report directly to Julie Martin, Vice President of 89 North.

Prior to joining 89 North, Evan graduated from UVM with his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. After graduation, Evan worked for 2 and a half years in Southern California, at a dental lab company. He found his way back to VT where he worked for Revision Military for over seven years. He started as a Product Engineer and worked his way up to his most recent role as Product Manager.

Evan grew up in central Vermont and now resides in Colchester with his wife and 8-month-old daughter. When he is not working or spending time with his family, Evan loves playing hockey and watching most sports, especially college football. He also enjoys diving into home improvement projects when he can.

Welcome Evan!
